Should you get a new puppy

An awfully lot has been, written and is preached , on the importance of doing your homework on what type, breed of dog would be most suitable for your
home and family.

Dog professionals, whether they are trainers, behaviorists,
veterinarians or dog rescue personal are always stressing that you must ,
research, research, research before choosing a dog breed to buy.

I'm here to tell you that if you have to do research into what would be
the best fit, breed wise for your family. Forget about it.
Maybe a dog, really shouldn't be in your future.

A person that understands animals would never even bother, with
researching a specific breed of dog.
Because they know one simple undeniable truth.

A DOG IS A DOG....

So if your doing research on what type of dog to buy, that is your first pretty big clue, that you really should not get a dog.

The following are some very alarming facts from
The American Humane Association.

  • 4.5 Million Dog Attacks a Year
  • 70% of All Victims are Children
  • Children Under 10, are the most frequently attacked
  • 58% of all Human Deaths, happen on the owners property
And you better make sure you have a good homeowners policy.
According to statistics provided by the Insurance Companies.

  • One-Third of all insurance claims, are dog bite related.
So, you would have to agree that this is pretty solid evidence that it doesn't
matter what breed of dog it is. Because its still a dog.
